Performance in Detonated Language
I never knew how important text was for an actor before this class. Milan has
developed his own entire method of acting through the rhetorical devices he
teaches.
Milan is incredibly and personally invested in the growth and development of
each and every one of his students. He’s an enthusiastic and phenomenal teacher.
I so appreciate Milan’s passion for the subject matter of this course and for
teaching—he is so dedicated to his students and genuinely cares about their
growth.
Thank you for re-igniting my love of language. I will be using this work for the rest
of my life.
Milan has a contagious passion, and his content and style are unique and
refreshing. He brings an intensity and culture of classroom unlike any other in the
department.
I am a better speaker and more confident in my work with text.
Milan was clear and distinct in his teaching and allowed for a great deal of fun as
well.
This has been an eye-opening, craft-changing experience. Thank you for giving us
your expertise and opportunity to develop our speaking.
Milan, this was one of the best and most eye-opening experiences I have ever
had, particularly in theater. I have learned how to see theater in new ways that I
never could have before.
I loved the unique course material—the skills we learned in this class are not
often discussed in many training programs but they are extremely essential and
have helped me immensely as an actor.
Milan is an extremely dedicated professor who has taught me everything I know
about performing. His approach is fresh, like none other. He pushes students to
achieve their potential and always succeeds. His contributions to the actor
training in this department are invaluable.
Stage Movement
Milan is intense yet compassionate and empathetic when it comes to teaching
any method of acting. Suzuki movement is such a powerful tool and the fact that
this class is offered here is a huge deal.
Milan is easily one of the most compelling and inspiring teachers I have ever had.
His passion for theater is infectious.
He truly cares about each student and for improving their capabilities as actors.
It’s really difficult and disciplining—which is great. I love how challenging it is. I
can feel myself improving with each class!
My second time taking this class—it changed my life.
I enjoyed the way things progressed, steadily increasing in difficulty, which
pushed us to our limits in the best way.
I loved the supportive environment of this class. We’re allowed to progress as we
are able to and there is no pressure to be absolutely perfect, only to do your best.
Milan is passionate and inspiring and one of the best instructors I have ever had.
He is so committed to helping you learn and what you learn and do in this class is
so effective and important to experience. I love it!
This class has significantly helped me as an actor and led me to become more
disciplined in my movement. I love coming here each week.
I was challenged every week but was given the time to improve gradually. Milan is
engaging and clear in what he expects and his teaching methods produce results.
The ability to push without breaking. The ability to convey topics, concepts, and
movement with such clarity!
This course has made me improve not only as a performer but also as a person,
and with how I view the world.
Acting Shakespeare
This course helped shape my understanding and passion for Shakespeare so
much. One of my favorite acting courses!
Professor Dragicevich is consistently an inspiring force in this field. He really cares
about the work and his students.
He makes Shakespeare very interesting.
The instructor was always passionate and made difficult material accessible.
Everything I learned was applied and I learned so much form being able to watch
my peers. The “scoring notebook” gave me so much ownership over my work.
Milan inspires energy and intensity in performance and creates an atmosphere
where actors are hungry to work.
Milan’s work is original.
Milan’s passion made me love Shakespeare.
Milan has a very connected teaching style that I think works really well with
Shakespeare.
I love focusing on language!
Acting
I loved the readings from our “text books” in the beginning of the semester—and
how they were incorporated into our learning.
Engaging and on-your-feet learning, not listening like a lecture. Exercises in class
are always relevant to material learned.
He pushes you in a good way.
Milan is one of those professors who fully invests himself not only in the work,
but in us students. He was always extremely supportive and had the perfect
balance of sternness and caring.
Milan is a fantastic teacher. He is very inspirational and has really helped light the
fire under my desire to excel in my learning in this subject. The class dynamic was
very friendly, open, and safe.
Class time was always utilized. Paid attention to us as individuals and picked good
material for each student.
What an enthusiastic and inspiring person. The class was fantastic. I learned far
more than I ever have in an acting class.
He is tough but fair.
Thanks for always pushing me to do better and giving honest feedback!
